His name means Savior

His name means praised one

Born of the Virgin Mary

Born of Aminah

No earthly father

Abd Allah was his father

Born around 4 b.c. in Bethlehem

Born 570 a.d. in Mecca

Raised by Mary, His mother and Joseph, His adopted[2] father

Raised by his mother, Halima the nurse, then his uncle and grandfather

Labored as a carpenter in Nazareth

Started as a shepherd then became a camel-caravan leader

Spoke in Hebrew, Aramaic, and probably Greek

Spoke only Arabic

Was literate; wrote no books

Was literate; wrote the Quran

Attracted multitudes by His miracles and teachings

Attracted multitudes by his teaching and sword

Had to move to Capernaum because of rejection by His townspeople

Had to move to Medina because of rejection by his townspeople

Was never married

Married to fifteen wives[3]

Lived a sinless life

Sinned often[4]

Did not pray for personal forgiveness[5]

Prayed earnestly and frequently for forgiveness of his sins

Waged no war

Waged war by fighting or leading in sixty-six battles

Ordered the death of no one

Ordered[6] the death of many men and women, (the first was a poetess)

Established a religion of mercy and love even for enemies

Established a religion of no[7] mercy and the sword

Established a spiritual kingdom

Established an earthly empire

Died by crucifixion in Jerusalem at age 33

Died in Medina due to effects of pneumonia and poisoning at age 62

Arose the third day, emptying His tomb

Lingers still in his grave awaiting[8] the Day of Judgment

Old Testament predicted his coming

No scripture predicted his coming

Mentioned in the Quran ninety-seven (97) times

Mentioned in the Quran twenty-seven (27) times

Many of His followers are known for their dedication, love, and caring for others
